Look no further. This race gives you every excuse you will need to indulge yourself in those childhood memories of two legendary snack companies that for the sake of liability will not be named.

Snackathon - How does it work?
Quite simple, runners will run a 1k loop around Lone Peak Park. At the end of this loop runners (or walkers) will have to eat a snack from the list found below. Snack order will be determined before the race begins by way of random drawing. The runner cannot leave the coned off snack area until finished with their snack. Proceed to run another 1k loop, rinse repeat with the next snack. May the best snacker win.
Snack List
Nutty Buddy Wafer Bar (1 bar)
Swiss Roll (1 roll)
Cosmic Brownie (half brownie)
Zebra Cake
Star Crunch
Twinkie
Fudge Round
Cupcake
Donette (1)
See picture above to see what portion size looks like on these snacks
Snack order will be determined via lottery at 7:30 am. First five drawn are what the 5k snackers will be snacking on.
What if I can't eat those snacks?
As entertaining as it may be to see us try and force feed twinkies to a bunch of runners, we know our limits and so should you. In the event you cannot eat the snack due to allergies, feeling sick, or maybe you just hate that particular snack, you will be given a two minute hour glass timer. This will be a penalty for skipping the snack. When it runs out of time you can leave the snack station and proceed with the next loop. This can be done as many times as needed to get you through the Snackathon feeling good about your decision making.
Packet Pickup
Friday 3 pm to 6 pm at the Sandy Salt Lake Running Store 8946 S State St, Sandy, UT 84070.

Snack Stations
Snack Stations will be presented in order the runners must eat the snacks. This order will be determined before the race with a random drawing. We will have water at all of these stations. Sometimes the snacks don't go down as easy as you would hope.

Course will be well marked with pink flagging. Very easy to follow, loop around Lone Peak Park.
Parking
Parking is free and plentiful. Parking found on all 4 corners of the park.
Word of mouth
