We greatly appreciate our volunteers
These races are not possible without help. To show our appreciation all volunteers will receive a $65 credit for any future Happy Trails race. Expires after one year. This credit can be given to a friend or family member if you would like. You have to be 16+ to be eligible for the credit.
What do I have to do?
We need a variety of volunteers for each race. The positions and tasks are found below. We will email volunteers the week of the race to confirm position and task.
Walk or run to a location on the course which will be given to you so you can direct runners in the right direction. We need Trail Marshals in a few key locations that can be tricky due to converging trails. Our goal is no lost runners and you are our only hope!
This involves picking up supplies from the start and taking them to the aid station location for setup and eventual take down. Just a table and some coolers along with snacks for the runners. Once setup your main role is filling cups with water or electrolyte drink for runners. You will always have at least one other helping you and the shifts are usually about 4 hours.
Do I need to bring anything?
Nope just show up at the starting line to be given specific directions or pick up gear and goods for the aid stations.

Can I bring my kids?
Yes if they are older than 5.
What if I have to bail?
Please let us know if you won't be able to make your volunteer shift. We need to have these tasks covered!
How does my credit work?
When you are ready to redeem your credit you just email the Race Director Don Hantla with which race you would like to use the credit for and he will give you a code to use.
