Jordan River Half Marathon
Jordan River Parkway Trail is a stunning 40 mile long trail. We have chosen some of the best miles to run on! You will run along this beautiful river for 13.1 miles taking in all of the great views it has to offer. Wetlands, parks, golf courses, ponds, bridges, this course has it all! Passing under and over bridges keeps you out of harms way offering a seamless trail experience that is hard to find on the asphalt these days.
Covid-19 UPDATE - 8/7
This race has final approval and will be happening! We are very excited we will finally be able to host a race for our runners. Tell all of your friends and family who have been itching to get out. The number of runners registered is definitely low but we don't care we just want everyone to have a good time and get outside.
For those nervous or curious about what kind of precautions will be taken to help keep our runners safe as well as volunteers and staff please read below
Face masks and social distancing at the start and finish - we have a huge park and pavillion, plenty of space
Once the race starts runners will naturally spread and face masks will not be required
Aid station workers will wear masks and gloves
No fruit at aid stations - There will be gatorade, gels, and Honey Stinger waffles
Aid stations will have water and gatorade filled in cups for runners to grab
All refreshments (Great Harvest Bread, delicious!) will be handed to you at the start and finish line
Hand sanitizer at start/finish and aid stations (also bathrooms to wash hands at start/finish)
Reduced number of runners - Our races are typically capped at 500 or less runners. This year I would be surprised if we hit 100
No awards ceremony - We will hand out finisher medals and awards (overall and age group) as runners cross the line. The biggest thing the health department does not want is congregating. If we get large groups of people waiting for an awards ceremony this could compromise us doing future races during the pandemic. We hope you understand, we know it kinda sucks. You still get the award though!
We look forward to seeing you race day!
